Emily Ferguson, APRN, FNP

Emily Ferguson, BSN, MSN, began her career in the medical field in 2010 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina. She initially served as a hematology-oncology nurse at Emory University Hospital. In 2021, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing, also from the University of South Carolina, and spent the following three years practicing in family medicine with a focus on chronic disease management. Driven by a strong passion for health and wellness, Emily joined the Pivotal Health team in 2024 to continue delivering patient-centered care in a collaborative and innovative environment. Outside of her professional role, Emily and her husband stay active with their four children, who participate in competitive sports. As a family, they enjoy traveling—particularly to the beach, hiking in the mountains, and visiting everything Disney! 

Brina Shook

OFFICE MANAGER

Brina was raised in Las Vegas, NV but relocated to Columbia, SC at the end of 2019. She has been in the medical field for just over 10 years, starting her career as a medical assistant and is now working on her Medical Billing and Coding Certification. She takes pride in learning the complexities of health insurance so she can better assist our patients and their unique healthcare needs. In her free time, she enjoys caring for her dog Hazey, spending time outside, and looking for her next adventure.

Savannah Martinez

Office Manager

Savannah is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she moved to Columbia to pursue a degree in neuroscience from University of South Carolina. As Office manager, she is dedicated to supporting patients through the entirety of their care. As well as ensuring that all patients are receiving compassionate and attentive care. She values the opportunity to build personal connections with patients and take part in each individual’s journey toward an improved quality of life. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors and trying new restaurants with her friends. She is also Pivotal Health and Rehab's biggest Eagles fan!

Aliyah Bonneau

Front Desk

Aliyah is originally from Summerville, SC but relocated to Lexington, SC in 2017. She is currently attending Midlands Technical College and in the process of applying to the Radiologic Technology Program. She's always had a passion for helping people and she chose radiology because it's truly the 'eyes of medicine'. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and experiencing new things and places. She's excited to keep learning, growing, and working toward a career where she can continue to help people everyday and make a difference.

Amanda Buzzetti

Medical assistant

Amanda is originally from Marietta, GA and attended the University of South Carolina where she earned her degree in Exercise Science. She is currently working towards applying to graduate school. You'll find her around the office helping in all aspects of patient care. In her free time she enjoys baking, reading, hanging out with her friends and family, and going on walks.

Kayla Schwartz

Rehab Tech

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Kayla now calls Columbia home. After graduating from Paul Mitchell The School Columbia as a licensed Esthetician. Kayla built on more than 12 years of customer service experience to pursue her passion for helping others feel and function their best. As a Rehab Technician at Pivotal Health and Rehab, Kayla loves being part of patients' healing journeys. Known for her caring nature and professionalism, she's dedicated to making every patient feel supported, valued and confident in their progress.
